Organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and with the support of 12 franchising associations, the sixth edition of the International Franchise Exhibition (IFE) is an opportunity for local and global companies to expose their brand to the Middle East economy. Taking place on October 16 and 17 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the event expects to host participants hailing from a variety of fields such as tourism, hospitality, trade, health, education, food & beverage and retail along with franchise societies, associations and other industry experts.

According to a statement, almost "97% of the companies who participated in the previous edition of the International Franchise Exhibition are returning for the exhibition's sixth edition." 150 exhibitors from across ten different sectors are expected to attend the event, alongside more than 3,600 visitors from 16 countries. For these exhibitors, the gathering aims to act as a platform to showcase their offerings, and offers vital networking opportunity for those contemplating business expansions through the franchise route.

"I hope that the exhibition will encourage Emirati business entrepreneurs to enter and benefit from franchising projects and to spread awareness of the system as a tool to develop investments and businesses as well," says H.E. Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, in his message on the event's website. "This exhibition will also aim at creating opportunities to create successful initiatives between foreign companies, Emirati business entrepreneurs, and owners of small and medium enterprises, and to take a closer look at the best experiments and international practices in franchising through cooperating with international franchising companies."

The event will provide insights on trends and investment opportunities in the franchising sector by way of a series of educational workshops for visitors. The workshops are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed within the world of franchising. For the region's entrepreneurial community, it also creates new opportunities for interactions with global franchising experts, who will also share insights on the ways to develop a presence in the Middle East and worldwide.
