At 21, Kylie Jenner made it to the headlines as she topped the list of world's youngest self-made billionaires.

She managed to surpass Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg in the list of youngest billionaire, who topped the list by reaching the milestone at the age of 23 in 2008. Jenner's latest boost in wealth comes primarily from Kylie Cosmetics, her makeup company, which Forbes now values at $900 million.

Apart from Kylie Cosmetics, Jenner runs an app, the "Kylie Jenner Official App." She also earns money from the sales of merchandise from "The Kylie Shop," two apparel lines with sister Kendall Jenner, a book series, TV programs including "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and "Life of Kylie," and other partnerships with retail brands like Adidas, Topshop and Quay Australia.

While Kylie has been named as the youngest ever billionaire in the world, we take a look at women entrepreneurs who are creating their own beauty empires.

From Jessica Alba to Michelle Phan, we take a quick tour of the world's 5 leading women in the cosmetics industry.
